A classic portrait of a man hailing from the French Empire period, so the very early 1800's.  It's on canvas board, artist unknown.  This is an attractive, eye-catching painting.  A young man wears a taupe coloured, high collared Redingote.  His shirt is also high-necked with buttons visible.  He has a handsome face, rugged but gentle.  An unusual eye catching portrait.
