Antique impressionist still life oil portrait painting of a rabbit by French artist, Joseph Auguste Brunetton (1863-1923).  This hunter's game original oil painting on canvas is signed in the lower left corner.   It's in very good condition for its age and it is unusual to find an impressionist game still life alone on the canvas from this era.  This painting focuses on the rabbit and only the rabbit, recording the natural hues of the the rabbit's body by lashings of animated brush strokes  On a good sized canvas, it would do well with or without a frame in a country kitchen.
