An appealing turn of the century oil painting of a cat and her kittens at play by renown French artist, Émile Valentin CARDINAL (1883-1958). Two kittens chase tassels while mum looks on. Its on a wood board which is smooth to the touch.

Condition: The painting is in overall good condition, but you should expect imperfections throughout, such as darkened varnish and small renovations. The frame has had renovations throughout but is in a good sturdy condition, it has been treated for woodworm.
Signed: Émile Valentin CARDINAL (1883-1958) Émile was born in the Vendee, Frane, he moved to Paris in 1933. He exhibited from 1920 to 1932 at the Indépendants and the Salon de la Nationale. He is quite well known for his paintings of animals, people and still lifes.
