Antique French impressionist landscape oil painting on thick wood board in an attractive frame by French artist, Léonce Pelletier (1869-1950).  This is a painting of a view to Pouilly sur Saone over pretty golden fields, it is signed in the bottom right and dated 1939, perhaps a calming moment before the mayhem and destruction of the Second World War.  The surface of the painting is textured and colour rich.
