Pretty vintage floral painting on canvas by French artist Adeline Hugonnard (1906-1987)  Here, the artist has painting a floral bouquet of pinks or carnations in a green jug accompanied by a fan. 
It's quite a large painting on a smooth canvas with impasto enforced oils to form the petals of the flowers...

Provenance: France.  

Condition:  The painting is in very good vintage condition, some thinning of the canvas and missing paint but nothing too onerous.  Tt's in a vintage frame, expect wear and tear associated with age..

Signed: Adeline Hugonnard - Adeline Hugonnard is a French painter born in Saint-Etienne (Loire) in 1906, and died in Chauffailles (Saône-et-Loire) in 1987.  Considered as a regional artist, Adeline Hugonnard devoted a large part of her works to floral motifs. A student at the Saint-Etienne School of Fine Arts, she exhibited five paintings at the Salon de la Société des Arts du Forez in 1925 (chrysanthemums, dahlias, wallflowers, roses and daisy queens). She never stopped painting and regularly exhibited in regional shows: Saint-Etienne, Lyon (Salon d'Automne), Roanne. She painted some oval canvases until the 1930s. Her watercolors are more rare.
