Mid-century original still life oil painting by French artist, Louise Alix (1888-1980), signed in the lower right corner.  A competent still life with plenty of brush applied elevated colour by an accomplished and acclaimed French female artist.  A canvas that is textured to the touch with an array of hues that would fit any interior.  This canvas would have been painted for the Salon de Printemps in Paris and has an exhibition label on the back, winning first prize. The colour depth is amazing....
