Vintage impressionist landscape oil painting on thick card, dated on the back, August 1923 where there is also a description by the artist on the subject.  It's in its original frame.  The scene is the bucolic countryside of France.  Vigorous thickly applied brushstrokes in natural hues of browns, greys and greens add texture to the touch and plenty of movement in this little painting.
