Vintage impressionist oil portrait painting of a man by Pio Santini (1908-1986), signed in the lower right.  A textured oil on canvas with vigorous impasto enforced  brush and knife strokes that give excellent depth and a sense of volume. Fine tonal qualities and a combination of brush and knife adds depth and interest with neutral hues of browns, greens and creams.  His face is carved with a myriad of pink and beige to stunning effect, he looks slightly haughty!
