Antique impressionist portrait of a woman picking flowers in a meadow by Russian/French artist, Jean d'Alheim (1832-1894)  It's on a thick wood board.  Very unusual and totally enchanting.   Varied hues of green play the major part of this painting's colour. The tree background and the church rising above the greenery gives another dimension and added depth that is is clever and effective.  But your eye goes immediately to the woman gathering flowers.  She's is quite mystical..

Condition: This painting is in good vintage condition. Expect natural imperfections on the wood board and small losses of paint throughout.  The frame is vintage, not the original, expect wear and tear associated with an aged pre-owned item, here they are losses of gold paint, indentations, nails at the corners  etc
