Huge oil on canvas by French artist, Georges Foucault (1882 - 1962).  This large original oil painting, most likely from the 1930's captures a peaceful countryside moment and a view to an enclave or small village framed by trees and a lush green landscape with grazing sheet.  The hues of green are very diverse, mimicking the lush landscape and interrupted only by large granite boulders and trees.  The canvas is smooth to the touch..
