Antique portrait of a woman, French school from 1848. Signed in the bottom left. This is a very attractive old portrait of Marie Anne Angelique de Beauvais-Turmine (B.1807) painted by Kubler (1804-1846). This beautiful portrait of Marie comes with a little history. She married Celestine de Beauvais (1795-1860), on the 8 December 1831 and had three children, Aglae, known as Flore (B.23 April 1834), Cloe (B.27 January 1836) & Obeline (B4 April 1842).
Her portrait is simple but effective. Straight hair tied up, long earrings that match a cameo necklace, black lace trimmed off the shoulder dress.
