Antique impressionist oil painting of a woman sewing or embroidering by Spanish artist, Augustin Carrera (1878-1952), initialed in the bottom right corner. This is an unusual jewel of a painting in its original frame. A woman sits on a wooden chair, she is dressed in a long blue coat perhaps it has a fur collar and she stitches away on a piece of white fabric, her green hat perched on her head. It's atmospheric and very delightful on a thick wood board with the artist's stamp on the back. The board is textured to the touch, particularly on the woman.
