Antique 19th century oil portrait of a woman on wood board.  This female oil portrait although found in France is most likely English.  It's from the early to mid 1800's.  Head and shoulders pose of a woman in black with a short black veil.  Her face is particularly well painted.

Condition: This painting is in acceptable antique condition.  The canvas has been pasted to wood board.  The canvas has lots of craquelure throughout, which is stable, along with some painted touch ups in the background.
