Antique French landscape oil painting by French artist, Jacques L'Huillier.   The silver lilac sky is heavy and ready to give up the last of the day's light.  A man walks through long grass towards the path that will take him home, hopefully to a hearty supper.  He has his boat's oars across his shoulder.   He leaves behind him a calm lake defined by the dark reflective shadows of the trees.  The artist has given us natural hues with interesting shades of lilacs greens, blues and silvers.  He has defined the edges of the water with wild grasses and reeds.  A very calming painting, oil on canvas that is smooth to the touch.

Condition: The painting is in good antique condition, it has been relined.  Expect some imperfections such as faint lines that show where the painting would have touched its chassis before being relined.
The frame is later, vintage and I suspect was paired to the painting when it was relined.  Its in good condition but expect imperfections such as indentations, missing moulding etc. The whole presents very well.
