RESERVED, PLEASE DO NOT BUY Wonderful old French still life oil painting on board in an old gold coloured wood frame.  
The thick board is textured throughout, but particularly around the flowers and highlights.  Thick brush strokes lavish the artist's paint onto the board to give realism and authenticity.  Hues are bright but subtill.  The working of the old wallpaper as a background is quite special and the whole makes a rather lovely piece.

Condition: The board is in very good antique condition.  There are a few small losses of paint but nothing significant or distracting from the whole.  The frame is in good condition, it has suffered the traces of time with indentations, visible nails and tiny movement at the corners but is still very attractive.
