Large vintage oil on canvas painting by Spanish artist Sophie Roberty de la Cerda (1900-1975), signed in the lower left corner and found in France.  This is a stunning landscape painting of an orchard in blossom.  Here, the artist has concentrated on the luminosity of the blossom and the juxtaposition of the path works well.  The canvas is beautifully luminous and relatively smooth except for the wonderful impasto reinforced white blossom.  Love the suggestion of dark mountains in the background and the suggestion of a grey roof in the left fore. Provenance: France.  
Condition: This painting is in very good stable vintage condition for its age.  Note that there are old patches and newer stitching on the back of the canvas and to tiny holes at the top of the canvas. Certainly nothing onerous and would do well in a nice frame, although it is taped around the edges so nice and neat without a frame.
