Antique French female oil portrait from the 1800's.  This is a wonderful old painting, coming from the mid to late 1800's and I believe it is in its original frame.  A girl or a young woman looks intently at the artist, her head slightly to the side.  She wears a red ribbon which pulls her hair away from her face, curls tumble down, a black dress with a white collar and a pink necklace.  The canvas board is smooth to the touch.

Condition:  This painting is in a worn antique state.  It has renovations throughout, particularly on the mid right of the painting, expect imperfections throughout.  The canvas is pasted to wood board. The frame, the original has missing moulding throughout, particularly on the corners with some white plaster showing.  The whole makes a very charming and delightful decorative piece.
