Antique portrait of a young woman from 1896 dated on the top left of the portrait.  The portrait is on a smooth wood board and is exquisitely detailed.  The young woman has a pink polka dot dress with black trim and lace hidden under a pearl necklace.  Her long dark hair is tied back off of her face and her features are finely detailed.

Condition:  This painting has not passed through time without scars.  A wonderfully rich visual piece with old cross bars on the back of the panel to secure a split in the wood. The edges are worn and the painting has in the past obviously been under a frame and has the scars to show for it on the outer edges.  A new frame would hide the old frame marks around the edges.  Imperfections throughout as you would expect on a piece of this age, in particular a small renovation bottom right.
