An unusual female oil portrait from the late 1800's.  A smaller portrait of a woman in a black ruffled dress and a yellow flower.  She looks sideways towards the artist, hair fixed up in a traditional bun.  You can just see the rattan chair that she is sat on.

MORE ABOUT THIS PAINTING:

Medium: Oil on thick wood board

Overall size: 11ins x 13ins or 27.5cms x 33.5cms (all measurements are approx).

Date: late 1800's

Condition: This painting is in good antique condition but it is not without it's imperfections.  There are some scratches on the board and a tiny renovation, top middle/right.  It's in a modern heavy resin frame that really does look like the real thing.  There are imperfections, but generally it's in good shape and the whole presents very well.

Signed:  signed in the bottom right corner in red but difficult to see.
