A rare, original and very delightful dark and moody portrait of a woman from the 1800's in a gold stucco frame.  She looks out through the darkness of time, in true chiaroscuro fashion with the deepest brown eyes, hair tied back, centre parting in a bun.  All that there is to see really, other than her amazing face is the detail of the traditional lace collar and broach.  It's a truly elegant time worn piece that would grace, feature and add warmth in any room....

Date: 1800's
Condition: This painting is in good antique condition.  The wood is slightly pitted adding age and interest and is by no means perfect. The frame even less so, with missing moulding and nails at the corners, but again it does add interest and age.  The whole presents very well, it is a very lovely authentic piece.
