A classic antique portrait oil painting on canvas of a man in a gold coloured frame.  Quite possibly a military man, perhaps a Mariner.  This original and authentic French oil painting is quite charming.  A man with a full moustache and beard wears a double fronted jacket with brass buttons.

Condition report:  This painting is in overall good condition for the age.  However, it has not passed through time unscathed and there are minor imperfections throughout the canvas including two small indentations to the bottom left of the painting (see photos).  The frame looks to be the original and is in good condition for the age, however you should expect imperfections throughout.
