Mid-Century still life oil painting of fish, herrings most likely.  The colours are quite subdued in this mid-century oil in a frame of the epoque.  It's quite a dark painting, with the lemons mostly in shadow as is the jug which gives an emphasis to the beautifully painted and very authentic fish.

This is an oil on stretched canvas in a vintage wood frame.  The painting is in very good condition but you should expect imperfections associated with vintage pieces.  The frame has  had some minor renovation including repaintes however, it sets off the painting well
