19th Century original antique landscape oil painting on wood by French artist Charles Albert Porcher (1834-1895).  This wonderful old and atmospheric oil on wood is by a renown and respected French artist.  It's nightfall and people wonder home on an earthen pathway by a cottage fitted snugly into a wood.   Here, the artist has laid down his oils to create a smooth board with slight texturing to the trees.  It is in the French Barbizan style.
